Micah 6:9
What does the Lord require of you: to do justice and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God
SOCIAL JUSTICE

Working together to build a just world for all, is how we embody the prayer that Jesus taught us, "Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven."

Our church is a member church of the United Church of Christ and part of the UCC's long history of preaching and living Jesus' social justice Gospel message. Our ancestors in faith ordained the first African American (Lemuel Haynes, 1785); the first woman (Antoinette Brown, 1852) and in 1972 ordained our first openly Gay person (William Johnson). Our denomination was involved early in Civil Rights, Environmental Protection, Marriage Equality and Racial Justice movements.

We continue that tradition today, faithfully seeking to "Do justice, love mercy and walk humbly with God" (Micah 6:8)
